Join us for the 89th annual convention of the Rocky Mountain Psychological Association, in vibrant Denver, Colorado. We have some great programming in store for this year, starting off with an afternoon of programming on Thursday, April 4, for both students and faculty.
Thursday Programming for Faculty and Students
For faculty, join us for the Portenier-Wertheimer Teaching Conference on Thursday, featuring keynote speaker Dr. Alexandra Rutherford. Interested students and professionals are also welcome to attend.
For students, Thursday will feature an afternoon packed with student-centered programming, continuing our tradition of providing workshops, as well as leadership and professional development opportunities for our student affiliates. The Psi Chi Distinguished Lecturer this year is Dr. Cathy Faye. Interested faculty and professionals are also welcome to attend.
Psi Chi Service Activity
Psi Chi will be hosting a service activity from 8:00am-11:00 on Thursday, April 4. If you are interested in volunteering your time and energy to make an impact through this service activity, please indicate so on the registration form. All students are welcome, whether or not they are members of Psi Chi. Sign up by the early registration deadline of March 2, 2018 to get a free t-shirt as part of your participation.
Main Conference Programming
Keynote and invited speakers for the conference this year include Dr. Regan Gurung (RMPA Distinguished Lecture), Dr. Anne Duran (Distinguished Alumni Address), Dr. Shari Miles-Cohen (Diversity Invited Address), Dr. Connie Beck (RMPA Distinguished Lecture), Dr. Salif Mahamane (Gardner Memorial Lecture), and Roxanne Sullivan (Presidential Address).
This year also marks the return of the Bell-Loomis Environmental Psychology Symposium, featuring Drs. Brian Parry, Justin Gollob, and Tim Casey.
Rounding out our programming are peer-reviewed poster and oral presentations from our attendees.
We will be returning to the Denver Marriott Tech Center, a recently remodeled, modern venue. This will be our location for the next two years (through 2020). Located near the lightrail, there is convenient access to the airport. You can reserve a room at the discounted conference rate of $129 per night using our event-specific link: HTTPS://BOOK.PASSKEY.COM/GO/RMPAAPRIL2019
RMPA affiliates and members may register personal guests (e.g, partners, family members, dependents) at a discounted rate. All individuals present at the conference must be registered, regardless of age. Children 12 years of age and younger may attend as guests at no cost, but should still be registered through this site. If you would like to register a guest over the age of 12 for one day ($15/day; receptions not included in this price) or for the full three days of the conference ($40), please email Courtney Rocheleau (firstname.lastname@example.org) to register these individuals. Guests who are eligible for student/affiliate or faculty/professional status should register using the standard registration option.
Because RMPA must commit and spend funds in advance of the conference, based upon registration numbers, we are unable to provide refunds due to cancellation, weather-related travel changes, or illness. Refunds may be provided in the case of accidental duplication of registration or similar errors. Please contact Courtney Rocheleau at email@example.com with any questions about refunds.
We look forward to seeing you in Denver for a vibrant and thought-provoking meeting!
